Naast Erica Terpstra hadden we nog meer hoog bezoek tijdens de tewaterlating van de Live Your Dream. Dame Ellen MacArthur kon weliswaar niet in eigen persoon aanwezig zijn, omdat ze aan het zeilen was met jongeren voor haar eigen stichting - de Ellen MacArthur trust - maar ze schreef Olaf een persoonlijke brief. Hans de Leur las hem namens Ellen voor.

Dear Olaf,

I just wanted to let you know how honoured I felt to be asked to be present at the naming ceremony and launch of the boat 'Leef Je Droom'.

I am so sorry that I cannot attend but as you know we have a very busy year with the Ellen MacArthur Trust's Skandia Round Britain Voyage of Discovery during which we are taking 85 young people sailing around the coast of the British Isles.

I know from the experiences we have had with my own Trust how important it is to help young people suffering from life threatening illnesses, to give them hope and rebuild their confidence.

I applaud and support all initiatives that help young people learning to deal with their illness and give them the strength to face their often challenging future. Leef Je Droom is one of these special initiatives. I think that people don't realize how tough it can be for these young people and something like this can make all the difference.

Congratulations on everything that you are doing and, as we sailors say, "Bon Vent!" to Leef Je Droom and all that sail on her!

We zijn heel blij en vereerd met deze mooie woorden van iemand die de wereld rond is gezeild, zelf veel ontberingen heeft doorstaan en zulke prestaties heeft weten te leveren. Wat doorzettingsvermogen en passie betreft kunnen Olaf en Ellen elkaar dus zeker een hand schudden. Hopelijk gaat dat volgend jaar gebeuren als we een ontmoeting organiseren tussen het team van Leef Je Droom en het team van de Ellen MacArthur trust.
